Can't believe how fast time flies; this time last year I met and shot for the first time with the awesome Gingerface (Emily Targett), it was a great experience and then led on to us working together a few months later with the foxes. I learnt a lot from this session though, my lighting improved no end after failing horribly shooing her from above!
I was amazed when Emily agreed to work with me, she's such a hard working model who has been so busy, the fact she was happy to come along to work with a fairly inexperienced photographer was brilliant for me. I was able to shoot someone who was comfortable and confident in front of the camera - she took direction perfectly (probably a bit too well as I was not good with my directions!) but she was also happy to get crazy for some of the shots. Since the shoot we've remained in touch and have become friends, she's very passionate about life, she's out there making the most of every opportunity and she's reeping the benefits from all her hard work as a result.
Its just incredible to think that was 12 months ago though; in many ways it feels like years ago, I know my technique is better now and I am much more confident with the people I work with, Emily would have told you at the time that to say I was nervous would have been an understatement! (Actually she probably wouldn't have as she's not that mean!)
