Lucy & glyn

One of my favourite weddings so far, it all started (and finished) at Iscoyd Park, just outside Whitchurch. Lucas and I drove over early, with a great selection of Christmas songs in the car ensuring we were well and truly in the mood for this one.

Being 21st December, Lucy and Glyn had made sure they brought along plenty of festive cheer - their big day had partly been selected at this time of year due to the couple’s love of Christmas, and it made for an amazing occassion.

Arriving for the bridal prep, we met with videographer Aaron (AK Fillms), who’d got to the venue at the same time - his journey from London taking a little longer than ours! We all headed over to the main building and found Lucy and the girls beginning their bridal preparation. Lucy was so excited and I’d certainly say she was one of the calmest and most excited brides I’ve worked with - she was just so happy and it was completely infectious.

We managed to capture Lucy opening gifts from Glyn and some of the girls getting hair and makeup started, before moving over to catch the guys and finding out how Glyn was doing after breakfast. He was just as relaxed and enthusiastic about everything, they’d found the perfect venue and the weather for December was crisp and beautiful. After meeting and getting a few shots, I left Lucas with the guys whilst I headed back to the bridal suite to continue the coverage.

Lucy remained so relaxed and made sure that she savoured every moment of the morning. The short trip to the church gave Lucy the chance to make her entrance, and with a mix of hymns and Christmas Carols, their ceremony was a really one to remember!

Following the ceremony, everyone returned to Iscoyd Park to enjoy the afternoon of celebrations - but not before we’d whisked Lucy and Glyn off for a short couple session in the grounds of the venue. From there the afternoon and evening just flew by, from a wonderful meal, some killer speeches and the amazing Silver Service Singers, everyone was up on their feet singing and dancing.

After a short pause to catch their breath, the band were ready to entertain until the early hours - and they certainly did!!

Having Chris as our wedding photographer was a no-brainer. From the moment we made contact he was kind, thoughtful, professional and reliable. He met us prior to the wedding to have an informal chat and get to know us, whilst also taking some casual engagement photos which we love. We thought we would hate being photographed but Chris made us feel relaxed, at ease and enjoy the experience. On the actual wedding day Chris was incredible. He blended in with our guests, captured incredible photos, stayed the duration and never once “got in the way” of enjoying our wedding day! He is by far the best photographer I know, on every level.

Thanks Chris, you are amazing!
