Emma & Jason
The last of my weddings for 2021 was a stunner - Emma and Jason’s big day was a long time coming, but when it did, it was well worth the wait. With a church ceremony and a reception at Caswell House, this wedding was only going to go one way.
Sadly, the pandemic meant that this was a wedding that should have happened a well before now, but when the time arrived it certainly didn’t disappoint, and it was an absolute dream to be on hand to photograph. It all started for me meeting Emma and her team at the bridal suite at Caswell house, and the mood was so upbeat. Emma couldn’t wait to get her hair and makeup done and get into her dress. Back at home Jason and the guys had a leisurely start to the day with Oscar, their black labrador, keeping my associate for the day entertained.
Once the guys got ready, they headed to their local to start meeting and greeting the guests - luckily everything was to take place in their home village, so walking from the house to the pub, then the church was not a problem. As they got themselves a few drinks and headed to the church, Emma was putting the finishing touches to her look and was ready to go.
The ceremony was beautiful, and the church was warm and welcoming; a string quartet played as Emma walked up the aisle and there was a few tears shed by Jason, but that was quickly replaced by smiles and affection. Emma was stunning and had a classic look with her hair and makeup - as you’ll see from some of the images, she could easily feature in future wedding dress promotion. Following their ceremony, they left the church as husband and wife and made their way down the path to the waiting car, being showered by confetti by their family and friends.
The short drive to Caswell meant that they got full use of the venue, with the string quartet continuting their melodies as they laid down the soundtrack to the drinks reception, we remained lucky with the weather and the sun shone as we grabbed the group shots and then took the couple away for their own portraits. Following their meal and hilarious speeches, the wedding party continued with dancing late into the night - it really was a special way to end the year for me.
Congratulations Emma & Jason!
