Great Barn Aynho Wedding - Elsie & Ashley

I actually met Elsie and Ashley back in August 2018, when I photographed a wedding for their close friends, and years later they got in touch to ask if I was available to capture theirs. I was so glad they got in touch as they are such a wonderful couple!

The couple chose a wonderful venue - The Great Barn, Aynho in Oxfordshire, a converted 18th century barn with some wonderful areas for the wedding guests to enjoy themselves and really let their hair down. On the day the weather was stunning and really gave the venue the perfect backdrop for the ceremony and celebrations.

Their wedding day was fantastic and everything went perfectly to plan, I began my coverage by meeting Elsie and the girls at a nearby cottage as they had their hair and makeup done, by the time the dresses were going on, Elsie’s father had arrived to see his daughter in her wedding dress, and she took his breath away. The mood in the bridal camp was relaxed and full of laughter and it really was a great way to spend my morning. Lucas joined me to assist with the photography and he’d headed over to the venue to meet with Ash and the guys to capture their preparations - still relaxed, but a little busier as the men added their finishing touches to their speeches and kept the couple’s son, Jack, entertained ahead of the ceremony.

The ceremony was beautiful, not only was the venue dressed amazingly with some superb floral displays, but Jack stole the show by delivering the rings with his own walker.

As they left their ceremony as husband and wife, the sun continued to shine, as Ear Candy supplied the perfect musical accompaniment to the drinks reception and everyone got the chance to make the best of the great weather, before heading in for some incredible food. The speeches were terrific and Elsie stepped up to make one of her own which went down a storm.

A little later, after a further drinks break and some relaxed group shots, it was time to dance - Elsie and Ashley took to the dancefloor and it wasn’t long before they were joined by some enthusiastic dancers, who really went for it!
