Sophie and Steven are two of the calmest and most relaxed people you will meet, with Steven being an actor and Sophie a yoga teacher, they certainly know how to handle their emotions and make the absolute best of their day.

A couple of years ago I met them at their venue (Umberslade Adventure Park), it was a soggy autumnal day and the park was closed to the public. Luckily we go the keys and were able to explore and I was hooked, it was incredible - without any word of warning, Sophie ran off and I caught up with her flying away on the zip wire!

Sophie then told me ‘I’m doing this in my dress on the day’ so, from this moment, I knew it would be a good one!

The bridal preparation took place at Sophie’s parents home and everyone was so laid back, in fact Sophie actually arrived an hour late, but that just added to the vibe of the day in the fact nobody minded the wait at all. Steven and the guests were at the venue ahead of time and added the finishing touches so that when the bridal party arrived the perfect scene was set.

As Sophie made her way to the ceremony she, unknowingly, dropped her wedding promises walking towards the woodland clearing, so midway when their friend asked who wanted to go first, Steven had no choice whilst I ran off through the woods in search of the notes. Luckily I managed to find them and they continued their ceremony.

The rest of the day was filled with love, laughter and a few adventurous soles trying the large zip wires after a few drinks, the food was amazing and as the sun left the open fire roared into action and the tipis created the most stunning dancefloor arena - safe to say that this wedding will live long in the memory of all the guests and I can’t wait to do more woodland weddings in the future.
